June 5, 2016. Civil unions are introduced in Italy. A law pending for 30 years that has allowed homosexual couples to institutionalize their love. But, at the same time, has awakened in the country homophobic feelings that seemed outdated, and that instead, driven by Catholic associations, have cut from the law the possibility of adoption and the obligation of loyalty for the partners.
